FAQ

Common questions

Does PostPiper have a social media scheduling API?

Yes. PostPiper provides a REST API at https://api.postpiper.ai/v1. Create a draft with POST /posts, then schedule it with POST /posts/{postId}/schedule. You can also list posts, check their status, and publish a draft immediately.

Which platforms does the API support?

The REST API supports publishing and scheduling to X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Each post targets one connected account. Pinterest posts require an image, a title, and a public Board. Instagram and TikTok scheduling are not currently available.

Can I schedule posts from ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Connect PostPiper’s hosted MCP server at https://mcp.postpiper.ai/mcp using OAuth in a compatible AI client. The assistant can create drafts and request your confirmation before publishing or scheduling. ChatGPT requires an account or workspace that supports custom MCP servers. See the MCP setup guide for client-specific instructions.

How much does the scheduling API cost?

New accounts receive 30 one-time free post credits, including API and MCP access. Pro starts at $10 per month for 1,000 successful posts, or $25 per month for 3,000. Both Pro tiers include unlimited connected accounts. Only successfully published posts count toward the allowance.

How do authentication and scheduling times work?

Authenticate REST requests with your API key in the Authorization: Bearer header. Connect a social account in the dashboard first. The scheduling endpoint accepts scheduled_at as a future ISO 8601 timestamp with Z for UTC or an explicit time zone offset. Responses normalize the scheduled time to UTC.

Can I review a post before it is published?

Yes. POST /posts creates an unpublished draft. Review or edit it before calling the publish or schedule endpoint. MCP publishing and scheduling require confirmation. You can track draft, scheduled, published, and failed posts through the API and review your posts in the dashboard.
